Nick Bester – Founder of Best Athletics Running Club (registered with England Athletics), Head Coach of Best Athletics, Online Running Coach and Adidas London Captain. Certified Running Leader with England Athletics, Certified Coach in Running Fitness with England Athletics.
Nick is 34 years old and a full-time running coach, athlete, and founder of Best Athletics, one of the fastest growing clubs in the UK with well over 500 members and 9 coaches. He is also the Adidas London Captain. He is a passionate runner, looking to improve and help as many fellow runners as he can on his journey. Nick has 100 000 followers across his social media platforms.
When Nick first started running, he did not enjoy it one bit! It was so much effort for such little reward. Every km was a slog and he couldn’t believe people actually choose to do this and have fun doing it. His first ever 5k was over 25 minutes. However, after completing his first race, he finally started getting fitter and started enjoying running more.
Nick is now at the stage where he depends on running and believes that very few things are sweeter in life than a PB and nothing in the world beats that endorphin release that running gives you – NOTHING!
Nick has run over 70 consecutive sub 3 marathons. His current PB’s are:
Aaron Finn (SENr, MSc, BSc, UKAD, PN1)
Performance Nutritionist & Founder of Conscious Performance
A coach, but more importantly, an athlete too. An athlete who has suffered at the hands of miss information and confusion around nutrition and fuelling performance!
“This is why I do what I do. I’ve been where you are right now. I’ve been in that situation where I didn’t know the solution. I made the decision to get educated, but that still wasn’t enough. I still had to suffer through health setbacks, injuries, and performance plateaus. Through, years of consistent work, dedication and sacrifice, I have built the knowledge and skills needed to overcome my own performance problems.
So, this little fire in me, a passion to help other athletes overcome issues that might have persisted with them through their entire career and maybe in some cases could of stopped them from competing or enjoying their sports.”
Aaron helps endurance athletes who are struggling with not knowing how to fuel their training, not knowing how to adapt their nutrition to their competition to their goals their demands. He works with athletes who are completely unsure of and unaware of how to start tacking their diet, fine tune things on race day in terms of plans, techniques and strategies.

Amie Walker: BSc Exercise and Sport Science – Coaching Assistant
Sport of any and every kind has always played a huge part in my life, with running the pinnacle of my passion. Nothing else in the world makes me feel as alive and invigorated as running does, especially back where I grew up in North Devon along the coastal paths of the South West!
Running allows me to feel grounded in times of uncertainty, challenges me to be tough when I am feeling weak and takes me to places I never thought I could go. Running is what fills me with joy, keeps me smiling and keeps me positive. The pure love to move one foot after the other has led me to develop into a running coach for Best Athletics adding to my already established degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
I also work full time for Best Athletics which has opened up so many incredible opportunities and involvement with marketing, social media, planning events, help organise our own race series, coaching track sessions, merchandise, website designs, newsletters and so much more!
Having originally come from an athletics background, competing in 800m, 1500m and Cross Country, since moving to London and joining Best Athletics I have spent my time competing in half marathons. My personal highlight being the Barcelona Half Marathon in February 2023 where I finished in a time of 01:23:19, qualifying me for a championship entry to the London Marathon 2024. I strongly believe to become the fastest and strongest runner you need to be able to excel and perform in an array of distances. I achieved my 5km (18:16) and 10km (38:35) PB following my half marathon build. I also love the cross training side of training which has inspired me to complete my first Ironman in Austria in September!
If you haven’t already noticed, fitness is my life, it’s what consumes me and beyond running I engage in cycling, swimming, strength training and all things yogi (and yes that includes meditation and a whole food plant-based diet…)
